Australia trader rights

Australia / NSW trader rights

Use this route for NSW complaint guidance, correction, removal, identity, or imported-review issues. Owner claim remains separate from licence meaning.

Correction route

Fix inaccurate public facts

Use trader rights when a profile has the wrong name, address, phone, website, source label, service area, or context that changes how the business is represented.

Identity route

Separate the wrong business from yours

Wrong-profile and merge requests need source links that show which reviews, credentials, or company information belongs to a different trader.

Review-source route

Challenge imported evidence without deleting history

Imported reviews can be disputed when they attach to the wrong profile or source. The review path keeps the source visible until the evidence is corrected.

Removal route

Ask for removal without claiming the profile

Takedown, privacy, fraud, and account-deletion requests stay separate from owner claim so acquisition pressure does not decide listing visibility.

Claim and rights stay separate

Control of a profile is not the same thing as correcting the public listing.

We keep this boundary explicit before the form: claiming is for account ownership and workspace control; trader rights is for correction, removal, privacy, source-evidence, and complaint-routing review.

  • Do not use claim if the goal is correction, removal, privacy review, or a wrong-profile dispute.
  • Name the exact public profile and source page that needs review.
  • Separate owner-supplied statements from public source evidence and regulator meaning.
  • Use evidence links where possible so the reviewer can understand what happened.
What to expect before you submit

The request should arrive with enough context to review, not just a complaint label.

Review timing

Requests are triaged by risk and evidence quality. Urgent harm, wrong identity, legal-rights requests, and regulator routes are reviewed before cosmetic profile wording.

Listing visibility

Submitting a request does not automatically remove a listing. We may annotate, remove, correct, or keep the listing depending on verifiable evidence.

Evidence that helps

Include profile URLs, source pages, company information, regulator references, screenshots, complaint references, or a clear explanation of the business relationship.

Decision outcome

Approved requests can lead to correction, annotation, removal, account action, or clearer complaint routing. Rejected requests should explain the missing evidence.

What this Australia route keeps separate

Claiming this profile lets you manage your MyTrustedTraders profile. It does not by itself create an NSW licence, HBC, ABN, or quality-verification badge.

Building Commission NSW complaint guidance stays separate from claim.

Service NSW licence links, ABN or ASIC references, imported review URLs, and listing-removal evidence stay source-named.

Correction

A public listing is inaccurate, out of date, or missing context.
