Detailed reviews
Unfortunately we didn't see the other reviews before hand. They have used a cheap (circa $35) wall bracket and charged $400 for TV install. TV is not level and after giving a price then asked for GST at time of payment. I'm pretty sure that a service provider needs to tell you the final price - I should have got it in writing. They drilled multiple holes in the wall, and never cleaned up mess. It was a brand new TV and didn't even bother to turn it on. Can get much better value from other providers.
Just add me to the other poor reviews, for those initial reasons. Anyone running this outfit. The Lousy reviews are pouring in. They don't care. Seems to reflect the world in the current era.

The Antenna Man arrived and gave a way over the top quote for $500+ (without even looking at my antenna!) I suggested to him that I would be getting quotes from other companies and his reply to that was that "if I went with someone else with a better price, I would be ripped off"(my gut feeling went from sus to scam from this moment on) and I just could not trust this person. What's more, this Indian guy was a fast talker and arrived in a van with no markings, whech led me to believe that he was a contractor for Antenna Man. Never the less, the situation stunk of a scam. But then, I looked at reviews on this platform and found that the Antenna Man's reviews were only 1.5, which only confirmed what my gut was saying, that they are a scam! Then I noticed the high feedback rating of Jim's Antennas (4.8) So I chose them. Jim's Antennas charged me just $200 for fixing my antenna problems. Very happy!
Literally the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Specifically asked for a wall mount TV if they could do do the cable management in the wall. Guy who came out had no idea. There were calls between me and his boss as the price kept changing as to what was quoted on the phone and he couldn't even do the job. Eventually did put holes in the wall to get the cords through and they are horrible. He then tried the GST trick as mentioned in other posts and I said I would not pay full amount as the service was not as described. His boss stopped answering my phone calls. It was SO dodgy. No idea why I didn't check product reviews before booking the job but these guys are not professional and have no idea what they are doing. Should have and could have don't it ourselves, and done a better job of it. Absolutely rubbish. STAY AWAY. They need to be reported to ACCC as everything they do is dodgy.
Literally a bunch of cheap scammers. Dodgy indian guy in an unmarked van came and told us our antenna was broken and needed replacing, then asked us to pay $800. Didn't trust anything he said. Turns out our antenna was completely fine, the issue was completely unrelated. Had a guy from a different company come out and fix the issue in 5 minutes.
Overpriced, not trustworthy. Unmarked van should have been a red flag. Indian guy charged me $385 to replace the power supply for antenna booster. Took 2 minutes. I googled later: I could have bought one of these for $30 and installed it myself (just plug it in). He also tried to convince me I needed a new antenna at a cost of $600-$1,000. But the existing antenna still works and seems fine. I wish I'd read reviews but I was struggling with bad internet connection. I thought I was doing the right thing by using a local company. To the Antenna Man, if you charge a fair price (i.e. refund me $200), I will amend this review to something more favourable.
Don’t trust. Without looking at antenna, he said I needed new antenna priced 690 to 1100. I was suspicious, so he then said I needed a new booster at 390. Still smelled a rat, so I asked him to inspect antenna and cabling post cyclone Alfred. When confronted with having to get on the roof (which he didn’t), he claimed he could fix from inside the house and installed a new power supply to antennae. His cost for plugging in this $35 piece of equipment and giving ill advice was $319. Before he left, he told me that I should call him back to install a new aerial (690-1000) and new cabling (1200-1800) and included quote for new booster (390). In summary, according to him, I needed a new aerial, a new booster, and new cabling to two tv sets because of water ingress. How amazing that a $35 piece of equipment overcame all of these problems. My advice to you is - next time, do that first and forget the scam talk.
