The concept of Chateau Homes was first contemplated by Company Director Malcolm McDonald in November 1969 with the view to providing home buyers with a luxury, custom design alternative to project home building. By April 1970 the company was registered in the name of Chateau Constructions, later to become ‘Chateau Constructions (Aust.) Limited’ and in recent times the additional registration of ‘Chateau Homes’ and ‘Chateau Developments’.
