DBA Designs (Aust) is a local Australian architecture-interior design firm based in Sydney CBD. It was established by experienced architect and interior designer Helen Xiao, who established one of the first private architecture firms in China. DBA Designs (Aust) lead designers are Helen Xiao and Hong Liu. Helen graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Tongji University, in Shanghai, China the top university for architecture in China. She stayed on at Tongji University as an assistant professor for 9 years, before establishing her own architecture firm, which was one of first privately-owned architecture firms in China. Helen's work eventually expanded to include interior design. Her expertise was recognised by a popular TV show in China, and resulted in Helen presenting an interior-design segment. Helen strongly believes in consistently learning and updating her skills and knowledge, and has recently graduated from an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Tongji University. Hong graduated with a Bachelor of interior design in TongJi University. His interior design work has gained international recognition. His rich design experience attracts clients who come back time and again, and proudly refer Hong to their friends and networks. DBA Designs (Aust) is a top tier architecture and interior design firm with many of their designers graduating from top international universities from England, Germany, France and USA. DBA Designs (Aust) has won various international awards for their work. Helen's clients love her creative ideas on space re-arrangement and the fact that she brings both architectural and interior design experience into her projects. This results in creative spaces, beautiful materials, colour, lighting, furniture and decor. When Helen is not designing she loves music, playing violin, painting, travel, reading, yoga and her lovely cat.
