Highlights
"Joey and Jake from ElecFirst did a great job of our lighting upgrade. Nice guys, came on time, did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Job was on time and same price as quoted. Would definitely use them again."
"Had to get my bathroom exhaust fan replaced, when organising a quote they were quick to respond, friendly and turned up promptly. When they returned a couple of days later they kept me updated on what they were doing and made sure I was happy with the work. The prices seemed fair and it was a MUCH better experience all round compared to other tradesmen I've had do work in the past. Highly recommended."
"We recently had our non working Split Aircon replaced and and replaced a fan/light also non working. Russell and Nathan were professional, courteous and efficient. Excellent , on time completion of work"

I was told on inspection that 2 fittings needed replacement. 1 oyster light and 1 external sensor light. OK! I reasonably expected like for like but was not advised the existing ones were not replaceable until the next day when the oyster light replacement became LED. Happy with that! Less than 1 hour later all was done. Both fittings are worth under $100 each. $200 labour + for EACH light is outrageous!

I arranged for a quote, acknowledge that I was aware of the $49 quote call-out fee. HOWEVER, when Aaron the electrician arrived he initially quoted $3500 to replace electrical board and install two ceiling fans. I indicated I would get another quote. He then said he would speak to. Manager and do a ‘special price’ called me back and said $2600, if I paid a 50% deposit on the spot. I told him I couldn’t afford it, he said he’d ring the ‘manager’ again, called back and said I could pay $500 and nominated another amount of $2800. He also used an extremely hard sell approach about some kind of ‘membership’ with this company that would have no use yearly checks. He also told me the current electrical board was dangerous and illegal. I was at work during this phone call and quite busy, pressured and stressed by his hard sell approach and repeated statements that the ‘reduced price’ of $2800 would only be on offer with deposit today. Unfortunately not thinking straight o agreed. A few hours later I called to cancel the job and requested a refund of the full amount, after speaking to my own electrician in NSW and establishing that the quoted amount was completely outrageous and extortionate. I asked the admin for refund of the entire amount given that the quote provided was clearly so extremely inflated and was a way of extracting $49 from every customer who arranged a quote, without having to actually provide any service, because no one in their right mind would accept quotes that are double and triple what the reasonable rate is. I have since received several quotes from good companies which range from $1600-$1800. I requested a call back from a manager and have been told they are ‘busy’. Admin staff are rude and have actually hung up on me this morning when I was trying to be able to speak to a manager. This is disgusting, unprofessional behaviour and basically stealing. I will be reporting this company to the ACCC and I have not received any of the $500 back that I paid them, despite cancelling the job two hours after those several phone calls with Aaron extorting me to agree. This is so wrong. Wish i had read these reviews before we made contact with this appalling company. I have made a report to the ACCC today regarding this company, hopefully they can assist to address the cowboy behaviour and extortion.

Reeling from a shocking experience with another company, I was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. I knew that Jesse, who did the quote, really had my best interests at heart, so I could relax. He had solutions, the previous people I dealt with had no idea about. Jake, the electrician who came and did the job, was super diligent and spot on in his decision making. He showed a lot of intelligence, understanding the intricacies of each situation. He and Caleb, his trusty and reliable apprentice, got on with the job, which was 2 days of pretty hard yakka. I was very pleased with the results.
Charged $49 for call-out. Quoted cost to install two lights was outrageous. Paid the call-out and called another electrician. Saved myself $442 on what they would have charged me even with paying the call-out. Beware.
Hi everyone, read a heap of the bad reviews and although i may agree that prices are extortionately high at the same time a lot of people complaining about $49 how about open your eyes! DO ANY OF YOU WORK FOR FREE? NO so why should anyone else. so here's how a business works. you hire licensed ppl who are trained and they pay costs for training and yearly License fees and insurance. Staff are then sent out for a quote or to fault find. what that covers is the callout!! for a business to send a person out costs a minimum $35 for 1 hour now that's what the staff gets paid that's not what the company has to pay the company pays closer to $80 + per hour per staff as they also have to pay for vehicle costs, fuel, servicing, tools etc for 1 person to go to a call out is normally (depending how far away you live) but 15-30 min drive then on site to say hello and see what is wrong ladders of a roof etc 15 - 30 mins then paperwork, quotes email etc i've never seen anyone provide a proper locked in quote for less than 1hour15 mins in total. now lets say that guy does 20 quotes a week that's 20 hours a week unpaid potentially..... does this seem fair? would you take a 20Hr a week reduction in your wage as a customer didn't want to pay you for your time and experience? do you go to maccas and get a burger then go and pay for it? NO you ask for a Service you pay for it then they provide it. The thing that wrecks everything is big companies screwing everybody by saying free quotes but they never are! any idiot that thinks they are getting a free quote deserves to be ripped off!. as why would anyone give you a 100% free Service of their fault finding skills and tools along with the License? if you want a free quote it's only free as the last 4 ppl have been charged more money for the job. Most importantly all business are running for 1 reason...... to make profit, otherwise why bother how about read a book or educate yourselves in someway! the cost of running a business is so high these days most have opted not to charge an hourly rate and build it into the cost. or charge a low rate but inflate the cost of everything else. anyway maybe think about what your asking for in future before coming on and slamming a business for trying to make a profit and not just break even.
