Mr Inspector has been in operation since 2004 assisting home buyers and owners make informed decisions. You can be assured you are having a qualified building inspector assisting you. We are qualified building inspectors and surveyors, but we predominantly conduct pre-purchase building and termite inspections bit can also assist in other inspection areas such as 137B defects reports, dilapidation reports, mandatory stage inspections during construction, building permits and advice, Essential Services, Certification of works if you neglected to get a permit and other building consulting services. In Victoria, anyone can carry out pre-purchase house inspections with no qualifications, no insurance and limited experience. Mr Inspector is a qualified building inspector as per the Building Act 1993, having completed a Diploma of Building Surveying and also a qualified Timber Pest Inspector. This means his trained to assess for defects left by builders in old or new constructions. Not only are we qualified building and termite inspectors, we also carry professional Indemnity Insurance and are members of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and the Master Builders Association of Victoria. Mr Inspector's building inspection reports are extremely detailed, approximately 60-80 pages in length with over 900 defects to assess and we include photographs of defects to assist you to understand. The inspection report will inform you of what structural, major, minor and safety defects exist, where the defect is and what you need to do to have rectified. We understand that not everyone is educated in construction and for this reason we make ourselves available to you via phone up until 11 p.m. at night to help you through it. You need to know what needs rectifying immediately, what can be monitored and what is it all going to cost. This places you in a position to make an informed decision prior to purchase.
