We began our pool-building journey with EcoZen feeling confident and excited — and for good reason. The initial stages of the process were handled with professionalism and care. The design phase was seamless, and communication was prompt, clear, and attentive. We truly felt heard and supported, and it was evident that the team was committed to bringing our vision to life. As the project neared completion, however, we noticed a decline in proactive communication, which unfortunately impacted our overall experience. The tilers and fencers — who were subcontractors — were messy and careless, despite having access to a skip bin on site. We found ourselves cleaning up after them, which was disappointing and unexpected. We also encountered issues with the fencing, a critical component of the final stages. We reached out to EcoZen to rectify and, although their response in correspondence was fast, we then heard nothing from the fencers or EcoZen for a couple of weeks. This prompted us to rectify the situation ourselves to secure certification adding to our stress. We didn’t have a final walk through with a member from the EcoZen team to check for compliance, which would have been helpful to discuss the final product and ultimately pass compliance. We feel that this would have saved a lot of stress and effort if this part of the process had been held with a higher regard. It felt from our perspective that once the shell was complete, focus for EcoZen went to the next job whilst our job shifted to be less of a priority to complete. That said, we are genuinely happy with the finished product. Our pool is classy, modern, and built to a high standard — a beautiful addition to our home that we’re proud of and excited to enjoy. Overall: EcoZen delivers a high-quality product and demonstrates strong expertise in design and early-stage project management. Their responsiveness to communication and issues when raised was excellent. We only wish that the same level of customer service and attentiveness had carried through to the very end of the process. We would recommend their service with advice to press the communication and be the needy customer to get best results.

We were sooo excited to be building our first pool, and decided that because we didn't need any more stress, we would engage a pool builder that would do everything for us from whoa to go. We did a lot of research, and went to Pool Fab's office in Kunda Park, which is beautiful, and has many awards on show. The web site shows beautiful pools, and promises great communication and care for its customers. Product Review at that stage only had 1 or 2 negative reviews, which is normal for any product. We thought we had found a great company. In order to help the company get a good head start, we engaged Pool Fab in August of 2020 to draw up plans and hand in those plans to council, so that they could commence construction for us in 2021. We were promised that construction could commence in April of 2021, but because of many and varied excuses by Pool Fab, we did not sign a contract until late April 2021. That should have been a warning to us!! No work was done in May, (more excuses from Pool Fab), and the pool dig was finally done in June. The bare dirt walls were sitting there for 3 weeks before the form work was done, when rain was forecast the next day. As a consequence of the forecast rain, all the walls of the pool started collapsing, and the neighbour's fence was also collapsing. Straight away, and in a panic, we contacted Pool Fab and sent them photos of the damage. They just said "don't worry, someone will fix it when they get there next time." No one came by for 3 weeks, and because of all the subsidence, Pool Fab had to bring in a truck to suck up all the dirt that had fallen into the floor of the pool, then had to hand dig everything that the truck could not suck up. They sent us an invoice for that for over ten thousand dollars - over and above the price already paid for excavation! The invoice included 17 hours of work that they couldn't account for! The concrete spray finally occurred in August, then we had no one come by again until 6 weeks later in mid September, when the bricklayer came to install the block wall, which would have been installed incorrectly if we had not been there to correct their mistake. So after 4 months of "work", and many more months of pre planning, we had a concrete shell and 2 block walls. Our contract gave Pool Fab 154 days to complete the pool, and it was nowhere near finished. We also had to project manage the pool ourselves, after having been promised a project manager in our contract. By this time, we were so stressed by constantly chasing up Pool Fab via countless phone calls, emails and trips to the office, to even get this amount of work from them, that we decided to legally terminate our contract. We did this at considerable cost to us, but in order to avoid more stress, it was worth it. Unfortunately, the stress caused by Pool Fab was not over. We decided to sub contract the completion of our pool, but being first time pool owners, we did not realise that in order for the council to sign off on a pool, they need a Form 16, which an engineer or pool certifier signs to say that the form work on the pool shell is up to standard. Pool Fab had their engineer sign off on this, but they refuse to hand it over to us. It is a common tactic that they use to blackmail pool owners that disagree with them over anything that they have done wrong. According to the QBCC, once a Form 16 has been signed, Pool Fab should hand over this form within 10 days, but as we were not informed of the importance of this form, we did not insist on them handing it over before we terminated our contract. Yes, we have been to QBCC, the complaint has been with them since June 2022, but they have not handled the complaint as yet. To anyone who is unfortunate enough to be dealing with Pool Fab already, PLEASE ask for this Form 16 (I think it may now be called Form 17) as soon as the engineer has signed off on it. Otherwise, if there is any disagreement between you, Pool Fab will not hand it over until you do as they ask, and pay any money they say that you owe them, however unreasonable. If you have not signed a contract with Pool Fab - don't !!! RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN !!!

Well 12 weeks they waiting. They don't answer emails or calls. The only way i get any where was to go to there shop. The construction and project managers have both quit. Not the lady in the office. If now a project manager and she not know much about what goes on. ill be swimming in the pool the shel was not done to plan. Which they won't change the coping tiles are all over the place as they said they had to follow the shell. Which is looks crappy. They forget pipes. Had to wait 16 weeks for them to do the plumbing so I could concrete around the pool. Now said they couldn't get the same grout as the tiles that where down with the used a different colour. And grouted the holes in the stone tiles in grey when there white and brown. There has been no pool fence around it. So I've had to keep 3 dogs on the other side of house. Which is 2m wide 16m long. It has been a long road. But the sound of it. Im not the only one going through this. So I would tell you all not to sign with this pool builder

Sean and the team at poolfabs are highly professional, and have delivered our pool to such an impeccable standard. Lucy specifically has gone above and beyond during the pool build to ensure that the construction of our pool was as smooth as possible. Lucy's communication during the build was extremely thorough, consistently following up with 3rd parties and keeping us in the loop with what's happening. Overall im really happy with our build, well worth the wait.
