The install guys were absolutely brilliant, they get 5 stars. 1komma5 gets 3 stars, I feel as though I may have made a huge error in engaging 1KOMMA5 for our solar upgrade. We accepted the quote and the deposit paid on 14th Dec 2025. The install date was moved twice, original install 10th March actual install, 28th April. So we have now been sent a bill for $2500 over and above our original accepted quote. It's been an interesting ride to say the least. I was offered a FREE upgrade after the first debacle (10th March, wheel fell off the installers trailer whilst travelling on the highway). After an initial call to try and have our install done on a Saturday, nobody bothered to contact me to let me know that you couldn't find anyone to do an install on a Saturday. Fast forward approx. 30 days, I sat on the phone ON HOLD for over 1 hour to the customer service number, in the end I hung up and called your bookings team, only waited 5-10 minutes on hold there, only to be told that we had to wait until late April for our install. That is when the 1komma5 representative said that they were approved to offer a panel upgrade for free. The representative was under the impression that the panels were damage when the wheel fell off the trailer. I informed her that the installer had said to me that nothing was damaged. 21st April install was cancelled because somebody on the install team had to fly back to NZ for a family issue. Then finally after another reschedule 28th April, panels are installed after a scanning issue. So, either they put the larger panels on or we had no solar system and our older system was already removed by this stage. The installer said that usually when the panels won't scan, they have been discontinued/superseded. 1komma5 would have known prior to the install that the panels would be an issue or are the people in their warehouse incompetent. For each install date, that was missed by them, I had rearranged my working schedule to be at home on those dates. I don't appreciate losing my annual leave days like this. Yes I have emailed them in regard to the bill that has been sent to us. I have not setup their Heartbeat Ai, it has some really mixed reviews on it's functionality and actual battery/system management capabilities. It allegedly also does not reflect the system status accurately.

I was happy with Solaray for the installation of my solar panels about 4 years ago and Tesla Powerwall 2 about 2 years ago. Solaray was taken over by 1Komma5° . I have since discovered that a CCEW certificate was not issued when the Tesla Powerwall 2 was installed. I raised this issue with 1Komma5° in April 2025. 1Komma5° support seemed helpful. After a few months, a technician came out to inspect the site at 1Komma5° could not access the original CCEW. I was told some work needed to be done to bring it up to the current compliance standard, but all this will be done at no cost to me. That was a few months ago. There has been a deafening silence from 1Komma5°. Several emails have gone unanswered. I guess 1Komma5° is good with installation, but very bad with after-sales support. There is no phone number to call. You have to raise a support ticket electronically and hope for the best. UPDATE Since writing this review, 1Komma5° reached out to me with some concern. The Head of Customer Service apologised for my experience and bent over backwards to resolve this issue. I am happy to say that everything has been resolved.

Had a 1KOMMA5 battery installed early Nov. Sales consultant was very helpful in answering all my questions. After paying deposit there was a short period whereby it was hard to get onto the installation team to find out what was going on with est install dates etc. After messaging my initial sales consultant for assistance, it all fell into place and battery was installed soon thereafter. Workmen were pleasant and tidy and all seems to be working well. A few post install questions I had were answered promptly and I even received an actual call from the support team to be sure my questions were dealt with to my satisfaction. That in itself is rare these days.
I had my solar panels installed by this company a couple of years ago. The installation process was okay — not bad overall. However, their after-sales support is very disappointing. I recently needed help with monitoring my panels and tried contacting their support team. After going through the phone options, I was connected to customer service, who told me they couldn’t help with technical issues and that someone from the technical team would get in touch. A few hours later, I received an email saying that for standard requests, the average response time is five business days. What’s frustrating is that if you call about a new installation or sales enquiry, you can speak to someone immediately — but existing customers are left waiting days for support. It’s quite clear where their priorities are.
Haven’t had my system installed yet, have just accepted the quote. Karl Thomson dealt with my process thus for, his patience, knowledge and advice was second to none.
