Clear Vision

"Phil and Tony from Clearvision TV Aerial Service (based in Kingsford, Sydney, NSW) did an excellent job to solve our TV Antenna problems. They did the work promptly in late December 2024, very soon after we contacted them. Previously, we had problems with pixellation on free to air TV, as well as being unable to get some of the free to air channels (such as SBS 33, SBS Viceland etc. because these channels had recently upgraded to Codec MPEG-4, which our oldish TV-DVD combination couldn't handle). We needed a new aerial which wasn't surprising since it hadn't received much attention for over 25 years (one replacement over 10 years ago). We already had a Full High Definition TV (1920 X 1080 pixels, Panasonic) dating from 2009 so getting a new antenna from Phil & Tony gave us an excellent picture in Full HD without the need to buy a new TV. We did need to get a Full HD Set Top Box (Blaupunkt, $49 before discount, from JB HiFi) to enable us to get the SBS channels 33, Viceland etc. and a few other channels we couldn't get before. Separately, we also got an External Hard Disk Drive and attached it to the Set Top Box, for recording and viewing at a later date. It's probably worth mentioning that we don't watch much TV, so we weren't interested in updating to a Smart TV or getting into Streaming in a big way. We did want to get the best picture we could from our existing Full HD TV and extend its life. Phil & Tony were professional and a pleasure to deal with. Obviously, they did all the testing on the old aerial & after installing the new aerial, to confirm that signal strengths with the new aerial were all excellent. Bonus points for taking away the old aerial for metal recycling!"
