Locksmiths Now

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. This company is a rip off. They take advantage of someone when they are stressed to charge exorbitant fees, and lie about it as well. The fees just get added on and on. "Restricted lock" (got lied to, my lock isn't restricted) $480, $25 call out fee, $100 after hours fee even though the call was made before 5pm, some extra service fees, and then GST on top of all of that. Not only that, but if you read their terms and conditions (as I did afterwards to see if there was any action I could take) the fees are in words to make it difficult to read quickly. Absolute scam. Was charged x3 the amount of another locksmith. Wouldn’t let me know cost until they got to the door. Called another locksmith and they said they could do it for $300 and quoted me on the spot. Do not use this company. They only pay for google ads to get you.

Completely overpriced and taking advantage when purchaser is stressed after breakin, needing security.Extra costs kept piling on once you have started.Would not recommend them at all.

Would give negative if I could. Over charged. Came late and then hit and me and wouldn’t leave my house making me feel unsafe. All I needed was a hole drilled to change over a lock and charged $550 for “door insurance”. I provided the hard wear.

Accidentally locked myself out of my apartment in the afternoon on a weekday. Asked over the phone for a quote, said that I wouldn’t be able to get one until the locksmith had arrived and seen the lock themselves. Upon arrival, I finally asked and was quoted OVER $600. I then mentioned I was not paying that much and would rather pay some sort of call out fee, but NOT the job. I was then told it was a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellation? For what? Nothing was done. I’m absolutely gutted that I trusted this company. If you are ever locked out please do not fall for it! My anxiousness unfortunately let to a scam and a loss of hundreds of dollars.

Called on Saturday morning to unlock my letterbox lock and was charged $963 including letterbox fee, early morning fee, weekend fee, emergency call out fee Don’t use this company

Initially I was grateful to have the lock repaired on a Sunday and had no issue paying for the labour call-out. However, after reviewing the invoice I discovered I was charged extremely inflated prices for the lock and mechanism. I was told the lock was a special item only available through the locksmith, but I have since found it is a standard retail product available elsewhere at a much lower price. I relied on that representation when agreeing to proceed. Very disappointed by what feels like misleading pricing and a lack of transparency. I would strongly encourage others to get prices in writing and compare options before agreeing to any replacement parts.

I called the locksmith because my door was jammed and would not open despite being unlocked. They were meant to arrive in 15 minutes. It took over 30 minutes to arrive. The locksmith opened the door and replaced the barrel inside the lock. I was charged a Sunday fee, a late night fee, an emergency fee, and a call out fee. I was charged an unlock fee and a labor fee (shouldn’t that be the same charge?). I was charged exponentially more than I was quoted then I was coerced into paying the exorbitant fees. Avoid this company and any other company that claims they have a chow call out fee. Only use locksmiths who are Master Locksmith Association members. These scamming locksmiths have been on A Current Affairs and ACCC and VCAT warn against their scam. I wish I knew sooner. I am sure all the good reviews are their family or friend of fake account. Learn from my mistake and never use them!
