"Our solar experience with Natural Solar was very good. I diligently got many quotes, comparing prices and speaking to companies and listening to anything unusual that they said. One other company told us that they might have to cut and shorten the wire on a solar panel to fit it on a certain section of roofing and they said that it might compromise the panel, I crossed them off my list. Apart from the panels a switch box has to be installed, one other company told us that they might have to install two boxes with the main switch in a small different box. I crossed them off my list. We almost went with another company that a few days before the acceptance of the quote, increased it by $3,000 saying that they might have to use scaffolding. It was not a simple PDF quote, it was a quote where we had to click on a link and wade through many pages to sign off. We were just sent the link without any warning of the price increase. I crossed them off my list. The company later went into receivership. I got many quotes and Natural solar were the best. We visited a few Solar companies at their offices. We did not visit Natural solar but we eventually went with them. They gave us the best quote and they always returned our calls/emails promptly. They were clear and prompt in what they said and they didn’t say or do anything unusual. Natural solar did the design without visiting us, as they can see our house and roof on Google, so they mapped out the panels and emailed it to us. We could and did ask them to arrange them differently to maximise the solar capture. They advised us that we need to get spare roof tiles. We got them. It is almost impossible not to break roof tiles during a solar installation. They replaced a few tiles with the new tiles when the solar panels were installed. Before we got the work done we got a drone company to operate a drone over the roof and send Natural Solar a report, so there would not be any quibbling about our roof . We paid for SunPower Maxeon 6 E3 but Natural Solar installed the latest version of this panel SunPower Maxeon 6 E4, the panel had just being upgraded by Sunpower and Natural Solar put the latest version in. Our 34 X (sunpower maxeon 6) panels came to $31,214.00 with the STC rebate and without the state government rebate (we didn't qualify for the state govt rebate). Iam going to take off $1,000 for the Clenergy black rails we added , that was included in the quote . So $30,214 divided by 34 That is about $888 per panel with installation. At the time of installation the panel retailed for $614. So my calculation is that our panel installation (which includes the switch box install) is around $274 per panel (with the STC rebate but not the state government rebate). We got a good Clenergy racking system in black (we paid extra for this) but we were told that the racking systems are anyway good. When we installed there were two sets of rebates, a STC rebate and a state government rebate. Rebates may have now changed. I believe that for the State government rebate, the application had to be approved before work commenced. It’s best to check with your installer. The solar company ideally should be members of the Clean Energy Council . My understanding is that there are Clean energy Council retailers and Clean Council Energy Installers. Because we have 3 phase power and are allowed to feed in 15KW., at the time of installation. We got 34 solar panels. Update - 2026-04-09 Mulitple emails and call this week. No response from the Natural Solar team. Even the support person from the Hardware vendor (who i'm having to interact with directly) suggested i find a different installer as they have continuous issue contact with Natural Solar. I've also started the legal proceedings to get this resolved. **** I purchased and had a solar system installed by Natural Solar in December 2022. The installation itself was fine, but what has followed is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. First inverter failure (October 2024) In October 2024 I began receiving overheating alerts from my Fronius Symo inverter. It took around six weeks to resolve, which was frustrating but manageable. However, during this process Natural Solar attempted to charge me for the technician visit despite this being covered under the warranty terms in my contract. They only agreed to honour the contract after I threatened to leave a negative review — at which point they became immediately responsive. I shouldn't have needed to do that, but I noted it for future reference. Telling contrast – July 2025 In July 2025 I enquired about purchasing a Tesla Powerwall through Natural Solar. Alan Bailey responded to multiple emails within the same day and was exceptionally attentive. It is clear he is capable of prompt communication — he simply chooses not to apply it to warranty matters that cost the business money. Second inverter failure (December 2025 – present) In December 2025 the replacement inverter began overheating again and downrating output. My system has been significantly underperforming for months, costing me hundreds of dollars in increased electricity bills. Since then I have sent numerous emails and made multiple calls to Natural Solar. I have spoken directly to Alan Bailey and Kai Mather on several occasions. Each time I am told the matter will be progressed. Each time, nothing happens. Fronius (the manufacturer) have been far more responsive throughout. They diagnosed the fault, sent replacement fans directly to me, arranged installation, and when that didn't resolve the issue, agreed the inverter needs a full warranty replacement. They have placed the service order and sent multiple follow-up emails to Natural Solar requesting approval to dispatch the replacement. Natural Solar have not responded to Fronius either. The only thing standing between me and a functioning solar system is Natural Solar approving a warranty replacement — something that costs them nothing except the installation labour they are contractually obliged to cover anyway. I will be updating this review every time I contact Natural Solar and receive no meaningful response. Before you commit to Natural Solar, I'd strongly encourage you to do two things: 1) Read the other reviews on this page and filter for any that mention after-sales service or warranty support. My experience is far from unique. 2) Call their customer service line. In my experience it simply rings out — it is effectively unmanned. That tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they take customers once the sale is done.

Our experience using this company for the supply and installation of a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery was abysmal. I obtained 3 quotes for the supply and installation of the battery, and these guys were in the middle. The quotation was accepted and the deposit paid on the 7th September 2024, with the quote stating that "installations commencing from November 2024". I started calling asking for an installation date in December 2024, with the response from [Name Removed], the sales guy, that they were looking for a date and would get back to me. I transferred to emails in April 2025, as I would never get a callback from [Name Removed] the sales guy (or his manager, who was continually upset that [Name Removed] hadn't got back to me). After 7 months of waiting, I was informed that they were still within their timeframe as the quote stated installs would start in November, with the statement "We have until the 30th of May until we breach the contract, you can cancel the order however the deposit is non refundable." On the 16th May 2025, before we could demand the return of our deposit, the battery was scheduled for installation on Monday 9th June 2025 - Job Ref 162031. This was then deferred, as Monday, 10th June 2025, was a public holiday, to Tuesday, 11th June 2025. The installer didn't show up. After many follow-up calls, the reason given was that there was damage to the packaging that the battery was in, and the installer didn't want to risk showing up with a damaged unit. I followed up again on the 18th June to ask when the installation was now scheduled, to be told that: "Sorry for the late response here, I had originally forwarded this to the manager of your installer - it looks like we are just waiting for a date back from the installer however he is away in Tassie until Thursday, so I'll chase again then and hopefully be able to give you a proper update!" On the 23rd June 2025, the saga finally came to an end with the notification from [Name Removed] the sales guy: "I've been following up like crazy for your job and keep getting the same response from my operations team that it will have thousands of dollars in extra costs, site inspection etc. We are happy to refund you your deposit and cancel the contract if you are happy to do this. Apologies for the absolute mess around, I didn't know it would have been this hard for our team to do it. If you're happy to refund please send me your BSB & ACCOUNT Number to send the $1,295 deposit back to." We did get the deposit back and then proceeded to purchase a Battery system from Solahart, whom I should have gone with in September, some 10 months ago!

Have not worked with a more shady business than this one. 15K payment upfront, waited 3 months for the install date. On the day of install, no body shows up, nor a phone call to reschedule. 2 days before the new install date, the costs suddenly become higher. Payment upfront again is needed, otherwise, no show. Reluctantly agreed. The install was a lot easier than quoted, according to the install team, but no revision on the already paid invoice. Now, 8 of our 22 panels are connected, and the Battery is not even operational. No contact from them about the activation date. We paid almost 20K, for the version 2 Battery from Tesla.

Terrible company. Once the sale is made, you’re left on your own — no proper after-sales support, no follow-ups, and communication becomes near impossible. They subcontract installations to workers who don’t speak English, making it extremely difficult to ask questions or raise any on-site concerns. If anything goes wrong post-installation, getting help or answers from Natural Solar is a frustrating experience. They’re quick to sell but disappear when it comes to service, accountability, or support. Would not recommend — especially if you're looking for a company that stands behind its work.

Relationship started well until we had an issue with an under-performing panel. I first reported issue in Sept 2024 and still unresolved despite taking the matter to fair trading. Natural Solar provided them with a false response (panel shading / skylight interference) and failed to deliver on a site visit to explain their actions and have ghosted me ever since. It will now be taken to NCAT for resolution

NEVER use! My system has NEVER worked properly it has been over a year now and Natural Solar will not fix it. An example of 1 of my problems, my May bill from the retailer shows my electricity usage at around 800kwh my Tesla battery App shows usage at around 400kwh. Natural solar installed my solar panels and my Tesla battery but cannot (or will not) fix. If you use them do NOT a pay until they can prove that the system is working as expected. They had to return twice to get the system operating as it is now, believe it or not it was actually worse than this when they gave the okay that it was installed and working properly
