Contacted this local business asking for assistance with repairs to a fault code on our outdoor a/c unit. A service quote was given and accepted. Two techs arrived 15/12 and informed us that a PCB and both fan motors needed to be replaced and a quote for those repairs would be sent through shortly. Service fee was paid directly before techs left the site. I was contacted by phone later that day and told that the parts required were a little more expensive than expected and an invoice was emailed on 16/12. It is outlined as follows. Fan motor X2. Main PCB X1. Labour to install X1. Capacity adaptor X1. It came to a total $4598.12 and it requested payment in full before parts were to be ordered which we paid in full via direct debit. Company sourced parts and a technician and apprentice returned 24/12 much to our relief because of the time of year and summer heat. Over the Christmas break I had time to sit back and evaluate works done for a total cost of $4598.12, the cost of the job did not seem right. I finally did my due diligence and believe me I am now very disappointed with myself and the complete faith and trust I allowed. Reviewing the invoice and thinking why is this not like a car service document which outlines everything done to and sourced to do the service ? Labour per task and total parts required and their cost per unit. The reason will soon become obvious unfortunately. I went online and sourced the exact unit model number and spare parts which gave me an approximate cost. With that information I was able to call the manufacturers head office and ask them directly for parts cost: Approximate prices of the fan motors $215 per unit and the PCB $1100. (capacity adapter is $10). Total approximate cost. $1540.00 I contacted the business via telephone and went in person to speak to the Business Service Department Manager and later I received a more detailed document which stated the following cost: Labour: $550.00 Parts: $4048.12 Shock, anger and extreme disappointment followed, and I returned several times to further discuss and understand why THREE very basic parts could be charged at $4048.12 Remember that the parts cost approximately: $1540.00 I was told that this is standard Industry practice.$2508.12 Standard Industry markup is approximately. 162% There is mission statement on their office wall “ TRUTH” is one of the points. Several methods of contact have followed, and this business has stated they have given me plenty of opportunities to express my case and offered a token reimbursement to finalise this matter which I have declined. I advised them that I would give the business the courtesy of a preview of what I will post as a review on their site regarding our very poor and disappointing service and repair experience!

Evaporative cooling and Ducted heating service was conducted by Daniel today. He was thorough and very pleasant to deal with. All my questions were expertly explained.

Organising a service and replacement of our ducted heater was seamless, the staff were great and explained all options and on the day of installation the team were great and respectful of us and our home, we will definitely be using them again
We have a great experience with Plum Heat and cooling! Their technician Aden knows his craft well, troubleshot the problem and finished the repair in a timely manner. He was also easy to communicate with, explained the issue and the resolution afterwards. Wonderful service!
Daniel was great to deal with polite and professional. Not only did he fix our heating but helped me catch my puppy when he escaped the house. Not only a wonderful tradesman, but a puppy catcher as well (hahaha) talk about going above and beyond. Thank you Daniel highly recommended
