BEWARE BEWARE. Very DODGY ethics. I phoned to ask what call out fee was to fix what i thought to be a minor issue. The owner or boss, [name removed], told me , MORE THAN ONCE, that there is NO call out fee saying "We do not charge for ringing the bell." I said but if you do work you charge and he said yes, and gave me a lower amount than other companies, saying if they do any work there is a charge, but reiterated NO CALL OUT FEE. I even said to his something like "I guess its a matter of symantics." I said there may be some minor issue with the cord so that is fine. I received a call on approach from the young technician who told me straight away as he wanted me to know that there was there was a $99 CALL OUT FEE. I was taken and even commented it was strange that the other guy STIPULATED there is none, but assumed it will just go on to the cost of the work done. I felt it was strange how he did insist no callout. The young man was very nice he checked the issue saying i would need a new ariel l and quoted an exhorbitant amount. I said i would have to get some other quotes. He said they would probably lower it by $100. I said I would want to check around and get another quote. He said there would still be the “call our fee” even though no work was done. He said he the boss would want that fee. I reminded him what the boss had said to me and he seemed uncomfortable as if he knew it was wrong to charge me money for a quote as no others do this. I knew it was because the boss knew the estimate was way over priced. He put me on the phone with the boss who immediately said the call was recorded and played it back to me rude and arrogant. When the recording proved that he HAD told me there was no fee and I pointed this out to him he yelled at me and said I was calling him a liar even though the recording had proved this. He was actually very intimidating and scary and only because he had my address I paid the fee. I could tell the young man felt very bad about this as it was clear he had come across this before and he had been caught in the middle and as he said he was really sorry. I told him it was not his fault. But the owner is a liar and a crook and it was creepy the way he spoke to me.

I had contacted Sydney Wide Antennas to repair my VHF/UHF antenna quoted from $199.00, booked for 26/11/2021. His technician stated that I need a new antenna not a VHF/UHF combo. $456.75 later he installed a UHF ( no VHF signal) antenna 10m coaxial retune tv 35 FTA channels on TV and 10 FTA channels on Foxtel, which was why I decided to get antenna repaired after 6 years of bad reception. I Used neighbour's VHF/UHF antenna got 55 FTA channel on TV and 22 FTA channels on Foxtel using "faulty coaxial cable". I had tried to contact the owner of Sydney Wide Antennas from 19:16 Friday evening to Tuesday 30/11/2021. I had contacted the technician who carried out the work that I want a refund and he stated that he don't give refunds which is against the law. I had lodging a complaint with Fair Trading a few day later. I purchased a VHF/UHF antenna early Jan-2022. Another technician from Sydney Wide Antennas had contacted me to check my antenna after I had after contact NSW Civil Administration Tribunal. IThey had installed more coaxial cable to replace old thinner cable from antenna to wallplate. I still only get 35 FTA channels on TV and 10 FTA channels on Foxtel. I had Sydney Wide Antenna to install my Combo antenna and returned their antenna I now have 73 FTA channels on TV and 26 FTA channels on Foxtel. Sydney Wide Antennas are only interested in money and recommend products you don't need to get more money and have no interest in providing customer service.

I am a 65 year old retiree. I paid $768 to SydneyWideAntennas for a “fix” to my antenna problems that didn’t work and left me in exactly the same position as before the “fix”, but $768 poorer. I sent 2 messages to the individual I had engaged with and received zero response. I then emailed the company, detailing the fact that I had tried twice to make contact and requesting a refund failing which I would be taking action including publishing a review. The response I received was extremely abusive, threatening and name-calling. Needless to say no refund has been forthcoming. This has been an awful experience dealing with this company. Avoid at all costs.

Same SHOCKING experience as other reviewers, these guys are classic fraudsters headed by the owner from a country where ethics is not valued. Should have known better when made first call to the owner R***** who guaranteed everything but wouldn't let me talk. I wanted solution to ABC TV reception difficulties with existing antenna when raining. The "technician" arrived and checked signal strength and the antenna but didn't check the roof void where the amplifier was. He recommended replacing existing Digimatch (Australian made) with new Hills antenna and amplifier costing over $700. Immediately suspicious at this point because the existing antenna was only 4 years old and cost $400 installed new with cabling and mast. I asked for a written quote to be emailed while I thought about it. The quote was generic with no brands mentioned. I emailed requesting more details but was ignored. My own search later discovered their antenna and amplifier could be sourced for around $150 and the YouTube video showed it takes 5 mins to replace. I blame myself for not researching better beforehand but for others please DON'T go near these crooks.

Robert, the company "owner", abused me via text messages and via email, with language such as "you are an idiot". He sent a "technician" who had no idea of what he was doing. He wanted to charge me $100 as a call out for 5 minutes work. I asked for an invoice but he refused to give it. Avoid them!
