AVELING HOMES: A NIGHTMARE BUILD EXPERIENCE - BUYER BEWARE! I am writing this review with extreme disappointment and frustration to warn potential customers about my horrendous experience with Aveling Homes. From start to finish, this has been a journey plagued by lies, delays, incompetence, and blatant disregard for customer well-being. Firstly, the build of my home in WA, was subject to MONTHS of unexplained delays. This created immense financial stress as I was forced to cover both a rapidly increasing mortgage due to interest rate hikes, and hefty monthly rent on our temporary accommodation - a situation Aveling Homes showed absolutely no empathy for. They happily watched me struggle financially while they dragged their feet. Throughout this nightmare, Aveling Homes had the audacity to try and impose extra costs on me, supposedly due to "price increases" and what not when actually these were just issues regarding their poor internal management and scheduling on their end which resulted in these products not being available and thus the cost increases they were trying to dump on me!! Unbelievable. The cavalier attitude continued with constant, unannounced changes of site supervisors, leaving me with no point of contact and a constant feeling of being in the dark. Furthermore, items and fixtures that I had carefully chosen during the pre-start process were inexplicably substituted with alternatives due to Aveling's own delays causing my chosen products no longer being available. Their mistake became my problem. But the final straw, the absolute coup de grâce, is the quality of the vinyl flooring. After finally getting the keys and daring to remove the protective tape, the flooring started peeling away with ease! The response from Aveling Homes? They informed me that it's "expected behavior" for this flooring to lift like this! In a brand-new house! The laminate flooring hasn't even been glued down? Absolutely unacceptable! To top it off, they told me it's now a ' non-rectifiable issue'. This, in summary - is the type of workmanship you can expect from these muppets. I cannot stress enough how much I regret choosing Aveling Homes. The lies, the tardiness, the lack of communication, and the extra expense compared to the competitors have been unbelievable. I even introduced some friends to Aveling, and I now feel terrible that I did. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, and look at other builders. Aveling Homes is a company to avoid at all costs. You have been warned!’

The process was seamless, with great communication from the Aveling/First Home Owners Centre staff. I was always kept up to date with works and stages. Every issues I had, although not all that many, were dealt with with a smile and in a timely fashion. When there were delays, they were communicated straight away. I visited the build site at several times during the build, and never saw anything that would cause concern, with the build quality being great. Overall, I would highly recommend FHOC and Aveling for residential builds.

Great communication with my team. Major shout out to Mal and Jess for all their support during my construction. I will note I was given a 12 month wait-time for my home, however it took around 17 months - I understand delays happen, but the guarantee should not be a part of that initial process if it cannot be delivered.

1 hours drive before picking up the keys I was nervous. John my builder and the team at Aveling homes were exstreamly great to deal with. Communcated throughout the process of each stage till the very end. Good quality brick work, tiles neatly crafted to wet areas, roof is solid, love the soft close of cabinets, shower screens good quality & soft touch light switches love it! Any issues at the very the end was rectified. Well worth waiting for. Me and my family love our new home to make new happy memories. Thank you Home buyers centre, keystart, & Aveling homes, appreciate all that you do!

Amazing experience building with First Hime Owners Centre, I would completely recommend for a seamless build. I was pleasantly surprised that only 1-2 slight hold-ups meant I was in my home close to the expected date. It was easy to communicate with the team, and everything got done in a professional way. After less than a year a of building in what I can only describe as the most supported and pain free experience, we have finally received the keys to our dream home! From the endless kindness of the whole Aveling Homes team, we re so grateful and cannot wait to fill our beautiful home with the most incredible memories! The team have all been very easy to deal with throughout the entire building process, I was kept up to date on the build progress the every step of the way. Would recommend to friends.
