Joyce Kitchens

My kitchen was finished today and I couldn't be happier with the result. After 5 years or procrastinating I took the plunge and ordered a new kitchen. I am very happy with the result. Thank you to the Joyce Team but especially the designer Caroline for her clever ideas and being so patient.

The perfect company to create your dream kitchen with. Caroline designed the whole kitchen with us. She actually listened to what we would like to achieve. She provided lots of different design solutions which could be incorporated into our kitchen space. We ended up taking brave steps and going all in by ripping out walls and changing our complete flooring as well as changing the windows before putting in the great new customized kitchen cabinets. The builder recommended by Caroline is absolutely great. Andy from Amber Construction transformed our house. He is quick, reliable, and solution-driven and gets tasks always completed to a high standard. However, the kitchen installation was carried out by Shawn from Joyce Kitchens. He is really also one of the biggest assets from Joyce Kitchens. Of course, nothing is perfect and straight in an existing property. Shawn performed the miracle to make everything fit perfectly. Yes, a big project & perfection takes time. Therefore, our thanks to David who had to deal with the delivery and production side of the new kitchen. Everyone is currently affected by crazy delivery delays. David coordinated and organized all the 100... little parts needed. A big THANK YOU to everyone involved!!!! We highly recommend Joyce Kitchens. If you are looking to create something unique, highly practical, and timeless; don't hesitate to call Caroline. Our kitchen project was worth every single dollar and our home has been transformed into a great space ready for daily cooking challenges, big family feasts & meeting up with our friends!!! Thank you to Dawn Metcalfe and David Burton of Joyce Kitchens for my beautiful well designed kitchen. I am absolutely thrilled with the result. Dawn is a skilful innovative designer. She paid close attention to our family's needs and produced a very functional yet beautiful kitchen. I had designs from 3 other companies and they all lacked the flare that Dawn brought to the design. In our previous kitchen, we were always struggling for storage and falling over one another. Those issues have been fully resolved by the new design. The quality of the finished cabinets is superb and David made sure that the process ticked along nicely. The trades were efficient, tidy and very competent and as unobtrusive as they could possibly be during a remodel of a kitchen. I highly recommend Joyce Kitchens to anyone who is looking for a quality kitchen delivered by professionals who take an immense amount of pride in their work.

My wife and I selected Joyce after approaching three different companies Simon Cox was the designer who came and met us initially and we were very impressed with his knowledge. We selected Joyce based on the ideas that Simon showed us which was different to the other companies. In terms of costings Joyce were a little more expensive but when we compared what was included we decided it was worth the extra for the different materials selected. We had our renovation completed last Friday and are very happy with the outcome.

We have just had out renovation completed today and could not be happier with the results We placed our order in Match and renovated in two stages to allow us to live in the house. Caroline was our designer and she followed our brief completely. We are so pleased with the result and appreciated the recommendations she made. We found the entire team friendly and professional David kept us informed throughout the process. The builder Andy and his team did a great job. We are happy to recommend Joyce Kitchens.

I am very happy with my new kitchen. This is my second Kitchen using Joyce, the last one was over 10 years ago so a lot has changed. I was very pleased with the ideas that were suggested the designer, Dawn and I am really surprised at the difference it has made to my storage. Andy and his team were very efficient in my home. I am very happy I removed the corner pantry as I was planning to keep it at first but Dawn persuaded me that the design would work much better without it. I have a new pantry with 4 big drawers and it makes finding things much easier. I also am happy that I added some lights underneath the wall units as I find it makes a big difference in the evening when I am cooking. Overall, I am very satisfied with all of my choices. I found the coloured image the designer showed me at the design stage very helpful as I cannot understand plans very well. It was finished yesterday ( apart from some touch up painting which I am organising)

The kitchen design, the drafting/signing of the contract and the receipt of our approx. 90% payment were efficient. Kitchen commenced in approx. May 2021. I'm guessing, as it was so long ago. Its mid-March 2022 and the kitchen is still not finished to a professional standard. Project manager last visited our renovation in October 2021 and promised to arrange repair of scratched cabinetry and grouting of 'grout holes,' in the splashback. The cabinetry was scratched/dented during installation. Haven't heard from him since, despite reaching out in November to him; and contacting the head office in February to see if our job was still 'open.' I was told the job was still 'open.' I guess it's still open right now. Poor quality handles were used, so the paint has come off some of the frequently used ones. Some of the kickboard is coloured and some is white - this does not look professional at all. I only came to notice this after the protectant plastic layer was removed. A schedule of renovation works was never provided, staff turnover on our renovation was high, communication was poor, there appeared to be poor project management, if any. Contractors would come onsite to our renovation and complain about the Joyce company and say it was there last day working for Joyce - this was unnerving. There were no delays in obtaining renovation materials. In late 2021, the owner came to view the renovation after we complained of lack of progress and poor communication amongst other disappointments. It appeared to be a 'lip service exercise,' and he implied that kitchens take longer than 6 weeks to renovate. No they don't. Due to the extended length of our kitchen renovation, for approx. 3 months, we washed dishes in the laundry and cooked meals in the microwave/bbq/air-fryer. 4 -6 weeks would have been ok, 3 months was unfair. During our experience, it has been particularly hard to stomach Joyce advertising renovations on their facebook page and hearing their designers on the radio. Finish your outstanding work before you advertise for more. I've waited many years to have a renovated kitchen; and my husband and I have worked hard to save for it. Joyce have ruined the renovation experience for us. I dont invite friends over to see my new kitchen, because it's still not finished the renovation experience has not been pleasant. We got 3 quotes for the kitchen renovation, and chose Joyce (despite costing the most) because they have been around for decades. We thought we could trust them.

We are in the middle of a big renovation with Joyce kitchens; x2 bathroom and kitchen. They came over a month ago to demolish the kitchen and bathroom, and have done very little since. We have seen builders here a couple of times, as in a few hours every Friday to do little bits, and that is it. Every time we contact them we get false promises, saying someone will be there the next day to do this and that, and they never come. Our house is filled with buildings materials and no one to do the work. We are getting extremely worried now. Please don’t go with this company. We would hate for others to go through this, especially as we have young children.
