I was quoted $356 for dry cleaning the carpet of my 5 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, hallway, landing and staircase. When [Name Removed] arrived, he offered an additional service to disinfect the rooms for $20 each because he said the dry cleaning itself would not kill the dust mites and bacteria. Finally, he agreed to disinfect the whole carpeted area including the 5 rooms for an additional $144, making the total cost to $500. I agreed as I didn't mind paying for good service. But I was left feeling cheated. My house is double storey and [Name Removed] carried out his work upstairs while I was downstairs. But I have a permanent CCTV camera upstairs which I reviewed after [Name Removed] left. He did not pre-vacuum the entire carpeted area upstairs although he said he would. It is also advertised on Pure Dry's website. He covered only a few small areas. He left the vacuum cleaner running in the master bedroom while he checked on his phone at the landing. My MAIN disappointment was the dry cleaning of the staircase. The camera showed that he did not pre-vacuum the staircase. He sprayed the chemical and then used an instrument (looked like a brush) to do a cursory stroke on each tread. I spoke to him when he reached the bottom of the stairs and he said that he had done the stairs twice (subsequently proven to be untrue). When I asked how he dry cleaned the stairs so quickly, he said he used a smaller machine. I requested to see the machine and he brought me to his van to show what looked like a small mop-head but no machine. I had my doubts that he had used the small machine and this was confirmed when I viewed the camera recording. I called the Company's main line to complain about the poor cleaning of the staircase and [Name Removed] answered. She tried to explain the matter away by saying that, sometimes overcleaning of the carpet is not good as it can damage the carpet. I wasn't satisfied with the answer. Finally, she gave me an email address for a formal complaint to be made. Reading the other poor reviews, I know that nothing will come out of lodging a complaint to the Company. So, I am leaving my comments here to FOREWARN anyone thinking of engaging Pure Dry Carpet Cleaning. I will definitely not recommend them to anyone.

Monday 20/4/24 Dear Pure Dry Carpet Cleaning, I would like to report an unhappy customer service from the carpet cleaner towards me on Friday 17/4/24 11.30am at 53 Caloola Avenue Penrith. Invoice Number #: INV145684.....please issue to me another invoice without the incorrect comments. Two gentlemen arrived at my home to service my carpet cleaning.....one was elderly one was younger. As soon as the younger man came inside my home he had a look at my home and offered me a discounted Sanitising treatment....he said normally it would be $35 per room but because my home was small he could do it all for a total of $200 all inclusive with the $132 of the carpet cleaning......I told him thank you but I am not interested.....he was not happy but continued his job .....I had mentioned to him to pay attention to the high traffic areas please to which he agreed. The elderly gentleman supported the heavy thick hose as the younger man proceeded with the carpet cleaning....they were finished within 20 minutes. Then the younger man had told me during the job that he was not comfortable with my dog barking so much and I said/explained he was a Guard dog and was doing his job....the man said he had a German Shepherd at home and if he asked him not to bark he would stop....I told him well that’s your dog....mine is not your dog. After he finished and they went outside the property he asked me if I want to see how dirty the water was and I said not really as of course the water would be dirty otherwise why would I want my carpet cleaned....he insisted I see the water so he preceded to pour the water out of the machine where the colour was light brown....I could not believe this mans belligerent attitude to the entire job. When he came inside he asked if he could recharge his eftpos machine so as I can pay....I said yes....I then paid the $132 and he then asked me to sign a document or I would not be given an invoice/receipt....I told him that was illegal and I would report him as such......but I continued to say that I wanted to get my seeing glasses so as I can read the document even though I was not going to sign. When I read the document it stated my carpet was very old with many very dirty stains especially the heavy traffic areas and also had numerous burn marks ......by this stage I had become very uncomfortable and annoyed with the man and told him to his face that what he had outlined was an outright lie as yes my carpet was old and had “1/one” burn mark in it that was reported to my landlord when I first moved in this property but my carpet was not very dirty and I repeated I will not sign anything that was exaggerated in the detail. He then said I would get an invoice with a lesser explanation of the condition of my carpet emailed to me......I told him I found him unprofessional, pushy and a liar.....I also told him I would report him as such. I have had my carpet cleaned many many many times but not once during all these times has any carpet cleaner given me such a difficult time.....I know I never want to see him again..... I also believe he thought that because I am a woman he could push me around so as to get more money out of me or he was just plain disrespectful. After they left my my home I went online and saw the invoice and was not at all happy....later the same day I reported as much online at your complaints website as asking for another invoice without the untrue comments he outlined. Thank you for your time and I hope you will issue me a new Invoice for the $132 cost for the carpet cleaning ASAP please. Diana Alexiou

We used this company back in 2016, and the man came and cleaned and properly dried and even added a scent before leaving after 90 minutes. So we decided the company should still be good, and rang them without looking at recent reviews. Bad mistake. This time, a young skinny guy came, and according to my elderly parents, was done in just 30 mins! Then he dashed off without even leaving a receipt, (my parents paid in cash) unlike the person back in 2016. When I came by I saw the carpets were just as bad, if not worse than before. Every stain was still there, but now we had puddles of water everywhere. This man did not clean, nor did he dry, just put in water, there was no evidence any detergent was used. He told my parents it'd take a few hours to dry, the next day parts of the carpet were still wet. Even though we put heaters on in the room. I rang to complain and emailed them photos. They called my elderly father up, and said the carpet was threadbare (not evident in any pics as the pattern is still very visible), and that a man would have to come around and take a look at the carpet, instead of just refunding the $122 they charged to wet out carpet. Obviously this was done to make the process as difficult as possible, and so my 90 year old father, fed up, said "just forget it". Absolutely shocking - always check the most recent reviews before calling anyone.

Ramsen did an very thorough job cleaning my fabric lounge which was very dirty from my pets . He also cleaned my carpet very well too . The only negative point I have is the quote I was given differed vastly to the final bill however Ramsen did advise me of the additional costs prior to doing the job .
