Shark Solar

I had my 40kwh battery and paired 5kwh inverter installed in January. The team did a great job with the installation and I was really happy. But the inverter died 3 months later and I am getting the run around from Fox ESS and Shark solar. It has been 2 months now with no solar at all because they removed my old inverter to replace it with the now faulty Fox unit. They have asked me to get my own electrician to do diagnostics and keep promising to replace my inverter but nothing happens. My next phone call will be to consumer protection.

I deal with “[Name Removed]” from Shark Solar. He earnt 1 star as he organised to get the job done nice and quick. He lost a star as I had to threaten reporting Shark Solar to the regulator as they were not suppling a certificate of conformance as required by law, finally got it 30 days later. They loose another start for not applying the correct settings on the inverter they installed, they set max export at 15kw when SAPN only allows maximum of 5kw on single phase, they set max import far higher than the main fuse to our house which could of resulted in the fuse blowing and having to call out SAPN to fix. They loose another star as they booked me in for a meter upgrade to a smart meter, I already have a smart meter which they know, so this did not need to be done, I was then charged by Origin Energy to come out. They loose another star because when the Origin came out they advised me that the system was missing an isolator switch that is required by law and that it must be supplied by my solar installer, they advised me this makes the system a fire risk and non-compliant. I asked “[Name Removed]” about this and he has now stopped answering my emails. I guess next step is to report Shark Solar to the regulator. So that leaves them with a grand total of 1 star out of 5, Thanks “[Name Removed]”, you have kept pestering me for a review, now you have it!

Adam and his team were extremely efficient and helpful. Adam guided me through each step of the process. From evaluation of my house hold needs, sizing the battery, where the battery and inverter needed to be, the distances between it and other utilities. Adam got his team to me in record time.. The installation team were very punctual and kept in contact with me right up to their approval on site. The team were incredible. My fuse box was crowded, but they sorted it all out. For and extra charge, Adam had arranged for a blackout protection. The install team ran all the cables in the wall cavities. Nothing to see here. Such a neat job. They cleaned up everything. The installation team set my system up so I don't need to think about anything. They also set up my app on my phone so I can monitor my whole house. Adam has contacted me to see how the system is going. Thanks shark solar team.

Had a problem with the battery initially but Mike was awsome, sorted everything out and had Fox replace the entire system. After that everything has been great. Would have no problem reccomending Mike and the Shark team.

Mike was easy to deal with and was quick to respond to questions about the proposed system. We had to wait quite a while for installation but the team who came to our house were very professional and thorough. All installation was done to Australian Standards.

I had a great experience with my battery installation with Shark Solar as they came recommended by our friend. Adam was very patient, helpful and very knowledgeable. I was thinking of adding more solar panels to our house but he was very honest to tell me that adding more is not going to benefit us in any way since there was just a little extra space. I was a bit undecisive at first about what inverter to get but Adam was very helpful, patient and worked with me until the very end. Highly Recommended

Adam from shark Solar has given me very good deal for 42kW battery system. Explained properly about the product and installation process. His team arranged all the paperwork just in two days and complete system was installed in week. Adam installation team did neat and clean job and finished with in three hours.
