"I only had a few items to be moved. The booking process was easy and the admin was easy to talk to and polite and friendly. The movers were polite and easy to talk to. They got the job done within the requested time frame. I was very specific in my request as I needed everything to arrive to its destination by a certain time. I am extremely happy with the service from beginning to end. I would book again if I needed more furniture removed. Thank you big bull movers for providing a great service to me."

I had an extremely distressing experience with Big Bull Movers / Removalists Connect (they are the same company), and I strongly urge others to think twice before using their services. What makes this even more disappointing is that this was my third time using Big Bull Movers. I had previously used them in 2023 and 2024 for moving services and had no issues at all. I even left them a 5-star review. Based on those positive experiences, I trusted them again for a bond clean. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. I booked a bond clean through them (Removalist Connect) and paid upfront, as required. What followed was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. Two cleaners arrived at 1 pm and assured me the job would be completed. However, by 9:10 pm, no keys had been returned. When my husband went to collect them, the cleaners showed up late at night, asking to re-enter the property, which was already concerning. Once inside, it became clear that little to no cleaning had actually been done despite them having access all day! The situation escalated quickly: The garage mechanism had been tampered with without permission. One cleaner admitted to stealing a personal item (a religious poster) and gave conflicting stories about where it was. He became aggressive and pressured my husband to hand the keys back. My husband felt unsafe and had to retreat to his car and lock himself inside. We were so concerned that we called the POLICE. To make matters worse, the cleaners later left the property unsecured, with doors wide open, and the cleaning was still incomplete, with a dirty stovetop, dusty surfaces, unclean skirting boards, and an overall unacceptable condition. Despite being told a re-clean would be arranged, this never properly happened, and there was clear miscommunication between the company and the real estate agency. Because the bond clean was not completed on time, and the situation became so stressful and unsafe, this directly impacted me, missing work, ultimately contributing to me losing my job. This experience was: Unsafe, Unprofessional, Disorganised, Completely, Criminal and Unacceptable No customer should ever feel threatened in their own home or be left in this position after paying for a service. Bigbull/Removalist Connect never returned or refunded the stolen item. I would never use this company ever again! Please Avoid!

Do not use this company - they will underquote and overcharge (double what they quote). The details: Booked in the job over the phone - disclosed it was a pickup in the city, first floor transport to ground floor, and that the item was too big for the lift - it was a large wardrobe and a bookshelf. Booked in for a Friday at 8am. The team arrived at the wrong location and kept asking me to come out - wanted me to share my Google location so they could find the right location. First sign things were wrong. Upon seeing the items, said 'it's too heavy' and 'they can't move it' - item was a bookshelf, which is why we booked two movers... the same bookshelf I was able to move UP stairs with my wife, yet two professional movers deemed too heavy to move down. On moving, they appeared amateurs - didn't know how to use a screwdriver, didn't really know how to lift properly or move items (and I had to help them move). They damaged antique items. We then had an area where bollards were going up in the city - I kept asking them to hurry and move the truck or they'd be stuck in for the day, and they kept saying 'just a few more minutes' --> guess they didn't want to use the trolley they'd brought. They then delivered to my home to my wife, and bullied her into paying, claiming they didn't know what the price was, to take it up with management, and they overarched by $330! Refused to disclose why despite asking for invoices, explanations, etc. They also made my wife pay using bank transfer, so we couldn't even start a chargeback on credit card. Eventually received a response, and they had charged me for 'three heavy items' and 'stairs'. The stairs were disclosed at time of booking and on their estimate form, yet they did not provide a charge (later decided to add this on). They did not disclose a 'heavy item fee' on their estimate form, nowhere on their website. I admit one of the items was heavier, but the book-shelf was moved by myself and my wife upstairs (so can't have been that heavy for two 'professional' movers to take downstairs), another was a small desk I moved myself, and another was a medium desk they literally moved one handed as they were holding a coffee I bought them in the other. After a month of fighting them, they agreed to refund $160 - better than losing the total $330. They took over two weeks to refund the amount - and this involved emailing them twice a day and calling them everyday to get a result. This company is terrible. DO NOT USE THEM. Have also reported to ACCC and VCAT.

I’m sharing this to warn others about our awful experience with Big Bull Movers, hoping to help others avoid the same mistake. We’re Just a Small Family – It Should Have Been Simple We are a family of three (my wife, daughter, and I), moving out of a standard apartment — not a house, not a mansion. We did not have any oversized furniture like a piano or large appliances. Our biggest items were: • One 3-seater sofa • One washing machine • One dryer • TV and cabinet • 3 drawers • 1 sofa chair • 1 wooden toy box • 20 prepared standard sized cardboard boxes. • One wooden dining table (with 6 chairs) • One king size bed and One bundle bed (which required disassembly and reassembly) That’s it. No grand pianos. No gym equipment. No heavy-duty office setups. We clearly explained all of this during the initial quote. What We Were Told: Big Bull Movers said the move would take 2–3 hours based on our description. When the team (team of two movers) arrived, they estimated 3–4 hours. What Actually Happened: The move ended up taking 8 hours, full of issues and inefficiencies: 1. They arrived late – scheduled between 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, showed up at 2:40 PM. I don’t really mind for 40 mins late as long as they can get their job done within estimated time. However, the work ended up at 10:40 PM (estimation:2-4 hours , actual time spent : 8 hours) 2. Worked very slowly – each trip between our apartment and the truck took far too long. They started with carrying the well pre-packed cardboard boxes. My wife and I observed the progress was so slow even only to carry the cardboard boxes to the truck (took around more than 1.5 hours to carry the boxes and put on the truck) and we helped them to carry part of boxes. 3. Lacked experience – they told me the bundle bed couldn’t be de-assemble because some screws at core part could not be unscrewed. They were struggling to disassemble a bed due to confusion about some screws which also wasted half an hour until I pointed out they were looking at wrong screws (the one they couldn’t unscrewed actually had nothing to do with de-assemable). 4. Parking delays – had to move the truck multiple times; no planning was done in advance. I believe it is the company’s responsibility to ensure suitable parking, not the customer’s. 5. Truck made two trips for an 8-minute drive — shows poor space usage. The company did not plan well before sending the movers. 6. Movers got trapped in the Audi supermarket carpark for half an hour (we never told them to park inside the commercial parking area – We were forced to return to the site while we were on the way to the new house to open door , interrupting our move, and had to contact multiple parties to release them out from Audi parking (Audi already closed that time). This caused a 30-minute delay and significant stress, we had to apologised causing inconvenience to several parties. Yet the company only said they not charging us for that 30 mins only. offered no apology or compensation. 7. No protection for mattresses (with photos) 8. The job didn’t finish until 10:40 PM – this caused major inconvenience to our family About the Charges: • First 2 hours: $370 • Additional 6 hours: $130/hour = $780 • Total: $1,150 • Deposit paid: $100 • Final charged: $1,018, supposedly after a 30-minute discount. However, we were originally told we’d get a 2-hour discount by customer service as the work was far from the estimated time and apparently the whole moving is not well organised. The lady who originally in touch with us was good and she seems understanding our situation. However, her supervisor (a guy) jumped in at the last minute and overruled her offer. Said they could only free that 30 minutes when the truck was trapped in commercial carpark by mistake. We clearly told the team to finish at 10:40 PM to avoid the 9th hour . We were exhausted. I paid at the end as I want to let the movers to leave (but I have to mention movers were polite, they did what they could do on site and i know they were exhausted too), I am complaining about the company . But I made it clear to the supervisor: ✅ I do not accept the charge ✅ I will formally complain to Consumer Affairs Victoria ✅ And I may share this publicly to warn others ✅ the complain is for the company , not the movers. They did not what they could on site but the company should have well planned in advance. ⚠️ My Final Advice: ❌ Big Bull Movers might give you a cheap quote, but you may end up paying far more than expected ❌ They lack experience, planning, and efficiency ❌ They don’t take responsibility for their mistakes ❌ Promises by customer service can be overturned without warning ❌ Not suitable for families looking for a smooth, stress-free move Think twice before booking Big Bull Movers. We are just a small family moving out of a basic apartment, and they turned it into an exhausting 8-hour ordeal that cost over $1,000. If you’ve had similar experiences, feel free to share. Let’s protect each other as consumers.

Big Bull movers were engaged to move us into our apartment. It was a windy day and the truck door blew into the front of our wine fridge smashing the glass. I was assured on the day that they had insurance and would cover the damage. I have followed up with them many times and they are refusing to cover the damage. I signed a form on the day to say everything had been moved safely with their assurance that the damage to the fridge would be covered. They are offering nothing. This group are not to be trusted. Do not believe a word they say.

This is hands down, without a doubt THE WORST company I have ever dealt with. If you want an accurate depiction of how bad these people are at their jobs then I strongly recommend heading over to google reviews for the truth because there is no way this rating of 4.3 stars is correct. Not only did they damage my property and have me helping carry boxes up the stairs because they were "too heavy", they then proceeded to hold furniture hostage and demand I sign the form until final payment was made. Luckily for me I noted that my mattress was damaged and took a photo of that form , so that when they later came back and said I hadn't mentioned any damage on the day and sent me a signed form with what I had written crossed out, I could gladly send them back the photo of the original signed form before their dishonest staff had crossed out my writing, trying to hide the fact that I had, in fact, advised on the day of damage. This company are in my opinion fraudulent, dishonest and predatory. Their staff are not in any way shape or form fit for the job and when you complain about the beyond sub standard service, you are met with excuses and lies about what a fabulous job they believe they did and that any problems are in fact "not their fault" After going back and forth for well over 2 weeks and me sending through actual evidence that their staff had lied, they offered me a pathetic $100 refund which does not even begin to rectify the damage caused to my $6000 mattress. They basically dragged my mattress through wet muddy grounds and also stood on it, evident to my by the muddy boot marks all over it. The 2 "men" doing the job complained about heavy boxes, had me help move my belongings and were just overall completely unqualified to be doing this job. A side note, I also paid in cash and they didnt even give me my $6 change. The stress of moving is bad enough, using this company to move your precious belongings will only see you more stressed with the added bonus of damaged goods. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and will be opening a case with consumer affairs as should everyone that has ever had the horror of dealing with them.
