Review coverage and highlights
I chose MyMoovers because their rates were very reasonable, but I regret not choosing a pricier and better mover. My wife and 4-month got up at 6am to be ready for the scheduled 7am-10am window, little realising that this was an *arrival* window. The truck didn't arrive until 10:15am. We moved from a 2bed apartment into a 2bed house. The truck was amply sized. The movers seemed to pack everything well, if ambitious in the number of boxes they loaded onto each trolley. At the unpacking end, I experienced the same pressure as Jessica L. (1 June 2021) has noted to quickly sign that no breakages had occurred. I don't know how we would know that until unpacking. I'll be seeking word of mouth recommendations in future.
Absolutely diabolical and hands downs worst customer experience I've had. Moving my family (wife and 1 year old daughter) from Adelaide to country NSW with the move booked in for a Monday I get a phone call mid afternoon Sunday to say the truck won't be coming and they don't know when they will get one there. We had sold our house so we're handing keys over to real estate etc and couldn't remain at the property. Relocating 10+ hours away we had hotels booked etc along the way and had no other choice but to leave all our stuff and trust they would bring it as agreed upon. We had the real estate agent provide access so move could be completed. Contents of 3 bedroom house was picked up the Thursday and we expected it to arrive mid day Friday. I receive a phone call saying I owe a further $1800 dollars because they decided to send a larger truck and that I wouldn't receive my property until it was paid. After over 50+ call (a lot of which they refused to answer) I finally got someone who handed on the number of the drivers who provided info on the whereabout of our property etc. After picking our stuff up on a Thursday it then arrived the following week. Where it was dropped off with nearly every major furniture item scratched, dented etc. The admin at my moovers rang demanding I pay the extra $1800 otherwise it wouldn't be dropped off (little did they know it was already off the truck in my posession by that stage) when I told them the drivers have already dropped it off and that I'm not paying an extra $1800 dollars because they sent the wrong truck and cancelled the day before and made the experience incredibly stressful for a young family they threatened legal action (Lol). The process was days in a row of stress, feeling helpless as if we were being extorted for our own property, to demand a further $1800 for being unreliable, poor service, lack of care with move and borderline criminal in my eyes is crazy. It's astounding how this business entity is still trading and fair trading hasn't shut them down DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE CRIMINALS.
Engaged in their service twice. First to move my stuff to storage and second time was to move from storage to new house. They damaged my things and give me the run around by basically saying that i should have insurance in place to cover the damage. I could've done a better job myself! To this day i have been ignored by mymovers asking for me to produce more photos. I sent plenty of photos to which it is now going on 2 months of sending photos and getting nowhere. They are unprofessional! I have had to contact them several times and they don't return my phone calls. Complaint tickets of the same nature with relation to the situation were raised on their website and yet no one bothers to contact. If you want your belongings safely moved then i suggest you go elsewhere.

Prior to moving into my new house My son wanted to move my tv I told him no thanks because I would rather get a removalist do it. Because I thought it was safer and it wouldn’t get damaged. Anyway after we moved into my house the removalist put the television on the cabinet and took off the bubble wrap. I didn’t turn it on because the power cable wasn’t long enough and all of the extension cables were still packed away and it was a couple of weeks or so before I could find them. My daughter sorted out the cables and she was able to get a one that was long enough to plug into the power supply. After we switch the tv on we were taken aback because the screen had a huge shattered crack. I contacted the removalist company and told them about the damage to my LG television and asked them for a refund. They said they will get back to me. Unfortunately they never. I contacted The Nsw department of Fair trading and lodged a complaint against the removalist company. If I don’t get a reply from the company I’m going to take them to the small claims court.
I accidentally booked with this wrong company - the name was mixed up with the previous good removalist called Mooved I used. One of their staff walked out on the spot after receiving phone call about his unfair wage payment, left another staff which who owns the truck and me. The call centre said they would find another staff immediately to the destination site, but no one came after two hours and i finished unloading by myself. At the end, the centre called me and asked what happened and how i finished the unloading. He asked me whether another staff helped me, even i didn't finish my talking he hung up on me and following with taking money from the credit card I provided to him when I booked the service. Don't hire them and don't give credit card information for removalist company, there is not supposed to have deposit fee. They should face heavy law suit and stop running the business.

Movers had no idea what they were doing. Damaged marble furniture. Took about 7 hours to do a 3 hour job. Don’t answer their insurance claims. Shocking company. Would advise to stay away
Asked for a medium sized truck to move from a 3 bedroom townhouse - showed up with a small truck saying that they thought it would be enough (still charging for mid size truck though). When they saw the amount of furniture to be moved, the first set of movers walked off. Manager from Moovers called and there was no apology - just a take it or leave it option of waiting for 5 hours for a mid-sized truck. The second set of movers came in at 1.30pm, were already tired from an earlier move, and took 10 hours to move stuff which could have been done in shorter time. And yes, they would not discount the breaks they took (cigarette smoking, dinner, etc.) from the time. And no time reduction for the (2X) breakdown of the truck's lifting mechanism. Wrote an email to the manager, and no response ... Take a clue from the company's name - Moooove on and find someone else. You will be better placed! And wont have to deal with unethical and unprofessional service.
The My Moovers website falsely states that they are 5 star rated - very click bait esque. They are the only moving company who takes a $100 deposit up front for a booking (Well the ones that I called up). Reading their T&Cs if you cancel the booking greater than 24hrs from the planned move you receive a 100% refund. I did so and couldn't get my refund. I called the sales person called [Name Removed] ([Details Removed]) to get my refund she said that she would speak with her manager and that was it nothing happened. I called their 1300 number the next day and finally someone sent through a cancellation email. I was told that the refund request will take 2 days as it goes through their account team. However still no resolution from them! Use a more reputable company that is honest and that will at least give you a refund and follow up to ensure they do the right thing by the customer!
