The Grout Guy

Our tiler James was excellent. Very professional. On time and left no mess. The transformation that he did to our bathroom Was incredible. It was like giving our old bathroom a facelift. Cleaning away the old grout and silicone. Made our bathroom brand new. We would highly recommend the grout guys (especially) James for anyone requiring work on tiles. Kind regards Cheryl and Peter.

Not only did Carlos perform an outstanding job, he also went the extra mile by replacing a portion of the work I requested but was not required, with additional grouting needed but which was not requested. His attention to detail and pleasant disposition is a credit to his organization. I was satisfied with both the verbal and email communication and found interaction with the company to be efficient.

I had my Shower basin re-grouted and sealed. When the guy arrived to provide a quote I also asked to check the seals on the shower fittings. The guy turned up at the arranged time 7:05AM), but I had the distinct impression that he was hurrying to get the job done so he could head off on another job. When he was leaving, I asked about how he went with sealing that fittings (as requested and agreed to in the quote)? All I got back in return was a blank stare. He went back through his job card and acknowledged that my request was in the quote and apologised on behalf of the company and proceeded to criticise their internal administrative procedures, saying he would take it up with the office (in other words “Not my fault”. I left him to complete the task and within five minutes he said it was all done and he was ready to go! So, I am not convinced he made any serious effort to check the seals. To add insult to injury I received a late payment notice email from “The Grout Guys” on Monday. I paid the invoice on Saturday (within 24 hours of the work being completed). I was not impressed. When I rang “The Grout Guys” the girl who answered the phone said that the email is automatically generated and it was probably a timing issue as I paid over the week-end. I told her that I was unimpressed with receiving a LATE PAYMENT email when I had made payment within 24 hours of the work being completed. I won’t be using these guys again for any of my other properties.

Poor workmanship, uneven grouting, no proof of damp proofing, mould left in shower, over 60 tiles damaged. And despite viewing the work they tried to say 3 edge tiles were already like that. Given we own the house and had it renovated, and lived it for 10 years- I don't think so. I think we might have noticed at some time during the 7,000 showers we've had that there were damaged tiles at head height

Terrible, they cracked the showerbsse, denied any responsibility,used a ladder without any protection on the legs. Grout colour used was wrong but all they carry

Poor after service. I am 15 months post a re-grout and seal of the ensuite shower. I had the initial salesperson and then original technician plus a further technician to re-grout areas missed in the original visit. All three said the water marks on the 2 tiles would improve/go. The marks didn’t go however I Was ok with putting up with that however water marking is now spreading to a further 2 tiles. On calling the Grout Guys to review I have received a phone call to say it is water staining and nothing can be done. This is based on a photo and nothing has changed from original concern just gotten worse. This is despite the original 3 Grout Guys representatives never saying it was “water staining” and that a re-grout/seal would sort this. Not sure why Grout guys would have 3 representatives say the same thing and then today 1 says the complete opposite. Poor after service - would not reccommend.

Punctual, polite, and fantastic workmenship! Ram the contractor did a fantastic job with our shower. The poor guy was sick, and still turned up to the job. He put in a full days work, cleaned up after himself. Thankyou, will definitely re use your company. A++

Brendan did an excellent job today in the shower and also the followup advice he gave was great too. I recommend to anyone contemplating grouting around the house.
